Our projects YIF projects Respect The Game The Respect the Game programme is designed to support at-risk young people in Croydon through delivering mentoring and artist development. Delivered in partnership with Syrus Consultancy, the programme offers weekly sessions where participants learn to use equipment, write lyrics and poetry, produce music, and create music videos. The programme is an opportunity for vulnerable young people to access a professional recording studio and equipment - resources that are often difficult to access. As an after-school workshop, it offers a safe and secure environment, helping to divert participants away from engaging in risky activities. Through funding from the Youth Innovation Fund,18 young people were supported to complete a Bronze Arts Award, which was particularly beneficial for those who were out of education. Each cohort culminated in an awards showcase, where participants performed their work in front of a live audience and celebrated their achievements. All beneficaries successfully completed the programme, achieved the Bronze Arts Award, produced original music, and performed at the Awards Showcase. Videography captured throughout the sessions documented participants’ journeys, highlighting their creative development, personal growth, and progression over time. Further links: Syrus Consultancy
