We are aware that an old BBC article from 2017 is still popping up on search engines which cites our charity as providing support for boarding school places.

 

Funding applications for this programme ended in 2018 when our Board revised our strategy to ensure we are supporting a greater number of children and young people in Croydon through local programmes.

 

We wrote to the BBC on 30 September 2024 to ask for the article to be corrected/amended but were told

 

“While some people may like us to make exceptions for specific content relating to them, their business or organisation, this is only done under very specific circumstances, such as someone having a conviction quashed. It is not a quick or easy job, as our publishing system has also been completely changed in the last year, and we are unable to routinely edit older stories.”
